Beerfest with the boys

Beerfest 2011

Cow *stares*: Moooo~! Did you come for Beerfest 2011?

For beer lovers, this would be a post that you would definitely love to read! Beerfest Asia returned to Singapore to bring us great beers from around the world!

Before we start, we needed to get our Beerfest tokens!

Aren’t the tokens cute? It looks like mahjong chips. Haha

There were a lot of booths that sells different kinds of beers from local and other countries too. There are also booths that offered games. Visitors could also enjoy music and comedy performances in entertainment tents around the grounds.

First, we went to grab a cup of beer.

I chose a beer called Limited Edition. Personally, I think that it is not very nice because I don’t really like beers that are too bitter. raspberry

Oh and just in case you’re wondering, I’m using Super Vivid mode in the photo above. Look at how vibrant the colors are! It is a very useful mode to shoot objects in very vibrant colors. Just like how Canon IXUS cameras come in different colors, designs and camera modes to suit your style!

While having our beers, we also bought food to eat as we were super hungry! You can’t drink beer on an empty stomach!

Yum Yum... Satay for you?

*drools* Looking at the pictures make me feel so hungry now!

After we were done eating, it was time to take some pictures!

I realised that quite a few people dressed up specially for the event.

I took this picture when there were a few people playing it. I used Kids & Pets mode and captured a clear photo of it.

Kids & Pets mode is suitable for taking kids and animals as they may be very hyper and likes to move around, so by using this mode, we can take a clear picture of moving objects.

Look at how hard working Jeff is, busy taking pictures. I guess you can’t put a great camera down!

While I was walking around taking pictures, I saw this guy who dressed up specially for the event. So I decided to take a picture with him.

Do you know any of the beers above? I’ve never heard of them.

This booth was quite interesting as they connected the beer pipes to a bike. I wonder how they did it though.

We stopped by a photo booth that allowed us to take a picture and send it to our email.

Our Canon IXUS cameras have taken so many great pictures for us, so we decided to take one of them this time raspberry

Here’s one of us.

I find that we’re all addicted to taking photos, especially since Canon IXUS makes it easy to take great photos. Beerfest 2011 is not a festival that you get to go whenever you want, so thankfully for Canon IXUS, we have all these beautiful pictures to remember it by. A picture speaks a thousand words. You can tell someone how wonderful an event is but it might not be as interesting as a picture that you can show to someone.

Overall it was a great experience. We manage to try a few different beers and I’ve also tried one of the ciders! Personally, I prefer ciders because it is sweet and not as bitter as beers.
