  3. What does my warranty cover?
You can find the warranty coverage here.

  4. Why is there no international warranty for my Canon product?
Due to varying pricing and taxation in different countries, Canon photographic products are warrantied only in the country of purchase. When buying the photographic product, you need to check if your product has a local warranty card issued by the Canon office in the country of purchase. If there is, when you require service within a year, you have to send it to Canon sales company in the country. If you don't have a valid local warranty, then the set may not be authorised and product is not covered by any warranty. Charges for service will apply. If you are based in India and China, you can obtain a warranty even when you buy the product in Singapore. Find out which product is valid for the India / China warranty and what you need to do when you require service in India / China.

  8. When I register my product on Canon Warranty portal, it keeps saying inactive account. I have tried to reset password as well, but nothing helps
    1. Upon registering your Canon product for the first time, Canon will automatically send an activation link to the email address you used to register. Please check your inbox or junk folder for the activation link.
    2. If indeed it is confirmed that you did not receive the activation link, kindly send the email address you used to register and your NRIC to this enquiry form.

  10. When I purchase extended warranty for my Canon DSLR (EOS) with Kit, does it cover both the camera body and the EF lens? Do I have to buy extended warranty separately for each?
EF Lenses and DSLRs have separate warranty coverage, even though the equipment (lens and camera body) can be purchased together in the form of a Kit. Extended warranty for DSLRs only cover the camera body. If you need extended warranty for your Len(es), you have to buy it separately. More information on the extended warranty charges can be obtained here.

  11. I have purchased Extended Warranty from your road show (COMEX, IT Show, PC Show, etc). How do I check my new Extended Warranty termination date? Why is the new date not reflected on my online warranty?
    • The expiry date for your extended warranty will be keyed into a portal only when you have registered your profile. We would appreciate it if you can go to www.canon.com.sg/warranty to do so. You will also enjoy an additional 3 months of warranty. Thereafter, we will manually key in your warranty purchase. Do visit the same site 2 months later to check that the extended warranty is reflected on your profile.
    • To confirm that we have received your payment, Canon Singapore will be posting the invoice to your mailing address within two (2) months.
