Jazzing Up Your Prints with All-New Canon PIXMA TS Photo Printers The new PIXMA TS8070 and PIXMA TS5070 are stylishly designed in space-saving forms and boasts productivity features for both the small and home offices.

SINGAPORE, 11 November 2016 – Canon today announces the launch of the brand new PIXMA TS8070 and PIXMA TS5070, two premium new wireless photo all-in-one printers that appeal to small and home office users with its combination of style and compact design housing an array of productivity and direct printing features.

"The Canon PIXMA TS8070 and PIXMA TS5070 fit small offices and homes in form and function - we've designed it in a sleeker form to blend seamlessly into your study or home office", says Edwin Teoh, Head of Marketing, Singapore Operations, Canon Singapore. "The vibrant colours produced is perfect for daily printing needs, from photos, thank you cards, to name cards."

The flagship model of this line is the PIXMA TS8070, available in three attractive colours: black, red and brown, while the PIXMA TS5070 comes in black and white options. These neutral and timeless colours enable even design conscious users to match their printer with any environment easily. With the compact dimensions of the PIXMA TS8070 and PIXMA TS5070, the printers take up less space with footprints reduced by 25 percent and 30 percent respectively.

Expressing creativity with the new PIXMA models
The two models are the perfect complement for users to print photos and materials for craft-making or artwork. Both models also support two new paper sizes: a new 5" x 5" (square) photo paper for Instagram-style photo printing, and standard business card sizes for easy creation of business cards for small businesses.

In particular, the flagship PIXMA TS8070 is equipped with a six-colour hybrid ink system, delivering highest quality prints and documents amongst home printers in its class.

Enhanced user experience and greater versatility with the Flagship PIXMA TS8070
The PIXMA TS8070 comes with a new 4.3" colour touchscreen LCD panel, adjustable for greater visibility, which supports an intuitive user experience enabling direct access to operating controls for processing copy, print and scan functions. The printer features a fully-automated paper output tray that elevates and extends simultaneously on receiving a print or copy instruction.

For heightened security, the new Document Removal Reminder function reminds users via an audible notification and a message on the LCD display when a document has been left on the scanner glass after a copy or scan operation. This mitigates the possibility of confidential or important documents being left behind or viewed by unintended parties.

The PIXMA TS8070 also supports a range of productivity options such as ID-card copy and automatic duplex printing. For greater versatility, the PIXMA TS8070 can print directly on printable CD and DVD surfaces, and it also supports direct printing from SD cards.

High quality print assured with the Advanced PIXMA TS5070
For home users with more basic needs and focused on achieving high quality prints, the PIXMA TS5070 offers the benefits of design aesthetics, compact size and intuitive user control accessible from a 3.0" colour LCD panel. With the five-colour hybrid ink system, the PIXMA TS5070 has one of the best colour gamut in its offering, reproducing high colour fidelity.

Cloud printing and scanning: PIXMA Cloud Link
Designed for easy set-up in a wireless environment, users can readily print from mobile phones and tablet PCs in out-of-home environments such as weddings and parties. The PIXMA TS8070 also supports NFC (Near Field Communications), allowing NFC-enabled devices to print by simply tapping the devices on the operation panel.

Support for cloud printing adds another dimension to the functionality of these printers. With the PIXMA Cloud Print, Canon's own cloud print and scan platform, users are able to print photos and documents from popular platforms such as Facebook, Dropbox and Google Drive, even while commuting. PIXMA Cloud Link also supports Scan to Cloud, allowing the scanning of documents and photos to popular services like Dropbox and Google Drive.

Additionally, with the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app, users can print content stored on their mobile devices, and harness the print and scan functionalities within the PIXMA Cloud Link service. The app also acts as a launchpad for the Easy-PhotoPrint+ web application, giving users access to creative templates and customised photo layouts.
