Singapore, 3 March 2010 – Canon today launches its PIXMA line-up with four robust models that bundle advanced imaging functions and photo lab print quality into sleek devices that integrate effortlessly into any home or office environment. Joining Canon''s PIXMA Business All-in-ones (AIOs) are the new MX876, MX357 and MX347 – print, scan, copy and fax. All feature Wi-Fi connectivity, a fully integrated Auto Document Feeder and improved print and copy speeds. The new PIXMA iP2770 single-function photo printer rounds off the new range with outstanding photo print quality and precise text prints in a sophisticated low-profile design.

Reinforcing its dedication to the new industry-wide ISO productivity speed standards (for calculating print and copy speeds), Canon launches all the PIXMA printers in line with these standards. Canon has championed the new ISO standards (ISO/IEC 24734 and ISO/IEC 24735) to help consumers make true like-for-like comparisons when considering different makes and models.

Intelligent Multi-tasking Performance, All in One Device: The New PIXMA Business MX Series

The new PIXMA Business MX876, MX357 and MX347 offers printing, scanning, copying, faxing capabilities in a single unit – perfect for home through to bustling SOHO environments. The inclusion of Wi-Fi connectivity in all three models means that each printer can be accessed by a number of PCs and users can print and scan wirelessly from almost anywhere in the home or office. Super G3 fax transmits A4 documents in as little as 3 seconds/page and they allow users to save faxes to internal memory – transferrable to USB in PDF format – for when either ink or paper has run out.

Optimally designed for office and home use, the new PIXMA Business MX series are designed for both document and photo printing as a result of Canon''s FINE technology. All three AIOs are part of the ChromaLife100+ system, which combines Canon''s FINE technology with Canon genuine photo paper and genuine Canon inks, to provide long-lasting, beautiful photos.

The new AIOs incorporate high performance Scan and Copy functions to complement their print capabilities. Copy speeds have increased by approximately 50% and Dual Colour Gamut Processing technology ensures document copies are optimised to retain text sharpness and accurate colour hues.

All the business AIOs also feature a fully integrated Auto Document Feeder (ADF) that enables users to scan, copy and fax documents quickly, with PIXMA MX876 supporting automatic duplex (two-sided) scanning and copying as well. The business AIOs feature a redesigned operation panel with keys grouped according to function and the PIXMA MX876 and PIXMA MX357 feature 2.5" TFT LCD colour displays while the MX347 is equipped with a Full Dot LCD display. With Canon''s ‘Quick Start'' technology, the business AIOs are operational almost instantaneously after powering up.

The ‘scan to compact PDF function'' saves files up to 90% smaller than previous models, making them easy to e-mail, whilst still searchable by keyword. The new models also allow the user to print without needing to switch on a computer (print images directly from PictBridge, iPhone™ and Bluetooth compatible devices) and the PIXMA MX876 and MX357 can also print photos from USB memory & memory cards.

Efficiently Precise Prints: PIXMA iP2770 Photo Printer

Canon rounds off its new printer range with the PIXMA iP2770 – a dedicated photo printer offering sharp text and photo lob quality prints at an affordable price.

The PIXMA iP2770 includes Canon''s FINE (Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) technology – which provides grain-free printing at resolutions of up to 4800 x 1200dpi with a 2pl droplet size - and is ideal for documents, web printing and photos.

Printing a 10 x 15cm borderless photo in approximately 55 seconds, the PIXMA iP2770 uses Canon''s ChromaLife100+ system to give enhanced longevity and improved print quality to ensure that images stay vibrant, colourful and fresh-looking up-to 30 years (or up to 300 years when stored in an album).

The PIXMA iP2770 comes with advanced software solutions including Easy-PhotoPrint EX, which incorporates Auto Photo Fix II and Easy-WebPrint EX for smart yet simple web printing. The result is beautiful-looking, photolab-quality prints.
