Professional art quality
In addition to the six standard colours for large format printers, Canon’s LUCIA EX 12-colour pigment inks also employ three primary colours – red, green and blue (RGB) and two shades of gray for total imaging performance. This large colour gamut enables brilliant hues and tones on a wide variety of media, including glossy, art, matte and signage – making possible enhanced metallic glossiness, reduced graininess and more robust images.
Light-fast images
This printer uses Canon’s cutting-edge LUCIA EX 12-colour pigment ink technology to combine beauty with high-speed printing. Smooth representations of colour gradations with minimal graininess and dependable, consistent gray balance are achieved by using gray ink. Canon’s original high-quality inks are also resistant to scratches and fading, so prints are able to remain beautiful longer.
High gradation and density
The new image processing technology in this printer produces enhanced continuity gradations, keeping colour shift or tone jump under control for smooth and seamless gradations. Furthermore, better black quality has been achieved in this printer. By reducing unwanted colours from reflected light, deeper and sharper black can now be reproduced, resulting in more expressive images with great depth.
